Coconut Lot
How healthy is dried coconut?
I have recently brought bags of dried coconut from the shop Julian Graves, and am hoping to substitute things like chocolate and biscuits for dried coconut.
How good is coconut for you? I know dried fruit sometimes contains a lot of sugar etc?
The bag it comes in does not say anything about nutritional values etc the 2 ingredients are coconut and a preservative.
Can anyone help?
Stick to the biscuits.
Dried coconut is about 65% fat and 25% sugar.
What's more, the fat is hard fat which is supposed to be worse for you than say sunflower, corn, olive, or other types of liquid fats.
On the plus side, it is high in phosphorus.
